Sirius Publishing Partners

Books published by Sirius Publishing Partners

Sirius Publishing Partners offers a unique opportunity for authors in the fields of self-help, personal growth, spirituality and inspiration, who seek to get published.

Sirius Publishing Partners operates as a copublisher partnership. Our business model is a hybrid between self-publishers and traditional publishers, and we can offer our authors the best of both worlds. Here’s how it works.

When a traditional publisher takes on a manuscript, they will print and distribute the book to the major bookstore chains, whether through their own firm, or through a distributor.  Unfortunately, there are significant drawbacks for less known authors:

  • High manuscript rejection rate
  • Slow process
  • Little personal attention
  • If selected, publishing company owns the rights to the book. We have heard that in some cases, publishing companies can make it difficult or impossible for an author to reprint when the book goes out-of-print. .
  • Small financial return to author (Most first time books authors can expect a $1 royalty on each book sold for $16.95-$19.95)

When a self-publishing house takes on a manuscript, they will print the book for a fee (often upwards of $1000) and then take a large percentage, i.e. 30 percent of retail price. For the most part, these books cannot be sold through a bookstore distribution process (Barnes and Noble, etc.) as they are considered self-published.  This also present significant drawbacks:

  • Little or no book distribution
  • Limited book availability
  • Less author credibility

Sirius Publishing Partners can help. We partner with our authors. We invest in your book in the following way:

We will review your book cover and content and provide you with design and editorial feedback . (If we believe your book needs significant revisions, we will provide you with or refer you to editing and graphic design services to polish your manuscript before publishing it.) We provide you with ISBN, Library of Congress numbers, bar codes, etc. We submit your book for distribution through our distributor to all major book store chains, and present it to independent and online bookstores. We coach you through the marketing process and can coordinate publicity at reasonable rates. We coordinate the printing of your book with a reputable, reliable printer. Once your book is distributed, we provide you with quarterly financial statements for your book.  We also set up a web site for your book.

In turn, you invest in your book in the following way:

You provide us with a clean manuscript, an appealing book jacket, and funds for book printing ($2000-$5000.)

Our fees:

  • Initial set up fee of $400.
  • Extensive editing, graphic design, and publicity are billed separately, as needed.
  • $1 per book that retails at $16.95.)

Benefits to authors:

  • Your book is distributed in bookstores and libraries nationwide and even internationally, pending approval.
  • You keep your rights. After your initial contract with us expires, you can either renew it or submit your book to another publisher.
  • You work with a publisher who is as committed as you are to generate publicity and sales for your book.
  • You receive coaching each step of the way.
  • You keep a higher percent of profit (on average $2-$3 per book after covering your printing costs. This profit can then be funneled back into reprinting the book.)

Children books

If you have a children’s book that you would like to publish, we can also assist you.
Our services include editing, finding and working with an illustrator, layout, printing coordination, and internet marketing. We are also working on developing a larger distribution network for our children book line, Books for Young Mystics.

Therese was very helpful in assisting me on my children's book. She knows what it takes to publish a book and she is a very good editor. She is always thinking of new ways to help me to get my product to market and she helped me find the right illustrator. I trust her attunement and I appreciate her goodwill toward my project.
